Profile
CLB Berlin is an independent project space for art, science, urbanism and digitalisation at Aufbau Haus on Moritzplatz in Berlin Kreuzberg. Founded in the summer of 2015, we offer a varied program of exhibitions, performances, film screenings, book presentations, lectures, and discussions. In addition to our function as a public platform, we offer space for closed meetings or workshops by independent initiatives, universities, foundations, and cultural organizations. We are also a creative lab for the production and presentation of artistic and academic cultural projects in an urban context.
The thematic focuses revolve around the reflection of space – as architecture, city, environment, ecosystem, playground, action space, data space, imagination, fantasy, …. In doing so, we transcend the boundaries of disciplines and cultivate an open network of reciprocal references and interconnections that includes other actors who shape our living spaces. The diverse activities are bundled in our five labs. The knowledge gathered and generated here build the starting point for formats that take effect also in contexts outside of CLB in the form of consultation, project development and research.
